About Redshtick

Redshtick is an online magazine about card games, table games and student life. Durak gets more space than anything else, because it is one of the most widely played card games in the world and one of the least written about in English.

What we publish

• Guides to playing card games, written so that a reader can sit down and play afterwards.
• Pieces on the variants and house rules that differ from table to table.
• Practical articles for students: card nights in halls, choosing where to study, life in a new city.

How articles are written

Articles are written and edited by the Redshtick editors. Where a piece describes rules, we check them against a written source and say where house rules differ. Where it touches on universities or student finances, we give the general position and point to the place where readers can check the details.

We do not publish sponsored articles, and the magazine carries no advertising.

A new publication

Redshtick started in 2026. It is not connected with any earlier magazine or business that may have used a similar name.
